Open Executive Staff Shadow Positions Include:

• News Director (CURRENTLY VACANT)

  • This position is currently OPEN. The News Director puts together “News Minutes” to keep the public updated. News can be local, regional, national, or world, but with a focus on the Mid-Michigan community.

• Business Grants Director (CURRENTLY VACANT)

  • This position is currently OPEN. Business Grants Director is in charge of going out into the community to sell “underwriting" to local businesses and companies. The only paid e-staff position at WMHW: Earn 20% commission on all contracts sold!

• WMHW-FM Station Manager

  • The Station Manager oversees the E-Staff and general staff, making sure that things are running smoothly and taking on any work necessary to complete tasks in a variety of positions.

• WMHW-FM Production Director

  • The Production Director is in charge of making all of the sweepers, promos, underwriting, show intros, specialty programming, voice tracking, and writing.

• WMHW-FM Program Director

  • The Programming Director is in charge of training DJs, running DJ workshops, and speciality shows!

• 101.1 The Beat Music Director

• 91.5 The Mountain Music Director

  • There are two music directors, and each is in charge of choosing and uploading new music for the stations every week. We normally ask them to upload about five new songs every week. It’s their job to make sure the station has fresh and formatted music playing around the clock.

• Event Promotions Director and Web Manager

  • This person is in charge of all WMHW events. While events are generally come up with by the whole staff, the Event Promotions Director is the person who handles executing the events and getting them off the ground.

• Sports Director

  • In charge of all of our sports broadcasts and also producing Sports Minutes updates. The sports director will travel with teams and be gone at games most of the time, and they tend to operate pretty independently.

• Social Media Director

  • This position coordinates heavily with other E-staff members, promoting events, highlighting news, sports, and music, and maintaining a steady output of content on social media including Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, and the Website.
